Dave talked this evening about Aunt Em, who married late in life, helped her sister raise ten kids (8 boys), and famously made pumpkin pies out of the neighborhood boys’ trick or treat on Halloween.
She was known for saying in the hardest times, “It’ll do me a world of good.” And meaning it.
I can’t find her pumpkin pie recipe, but here’s her Ginger Creams.
My new book, based on the last year’s talks at Laity Lodge, will be coming out the middle of August. We’re celebrating in several ways, but I wanted to mention especially the Autographing at On Second Thought,
